2007-2008 Tour Announced

The Metropolitan Youth Symphony Orchestras of Atlanta is proud to announce that our 18th season tour will take place in June 2008. Our orchestra will perform in Budapest, Vienna and Prague. [More details to be posted]
 

Orchestras Perform at 2007 GMEA Conference

The Metropolitan Youth Symphony Orchestras of Atlanta is proud to highlight the accomplishments of our students at the 2007 Georgia Music Educator Association (GMEA) In-Service Conference. The program took place at the Savannah International Trade and Convention Center in late January 2007.

This conference is the premiere music educator's conference in the Southeast United States. Professional ensembles and the state's most prestigious performing ensembles are invited each year to take part in presentations. The symphony orchestra returned for a performance and the string orchestra traveled for the first time.

Symphony Orchestra Travels to China

In the Spring of 2006, MYSO was invited by the US-China Cultural & Educational Foundation to travel to China. Here they engaged in cultural and educational programs with musicians in China as well as having several performances in major cities like Beijing, Nanjing, and Shanghai.
