String Orchestra
Audition Information
To Qualify to Audition,
each new and
returning musician must meet the following criteria:

Age: 13 (before September 1) years and younger
-
Grade: Eighth grade or below
-
Play one of the following instruments: Violin, Viola, Cello or Bass
-
Take private instruction on your instrument
-
Complete a blind five (5) minute audition adjudicated by
professional musicians by performing a solo work (musician’s choice)
from the standard classical repertoire not to exceed 2 minutes in
length and excerpts

Complete an application and mail with a check payable to MYSO of
Atlanta, in the amount of $25.00 (non-refundable) to MYSO of Atlanta

scale, three octaves, slurred 2 notes to a bow
